Tree planting at Burghlee Park

Published December 19, 2025 by in

Last week, we planted four Small-leaved Lime trees (Tilia cordata) in Burghlee Park, Midlothian. These additions have lengthened the lovely Lime avenue, raising the total Tree Time trees to 16 along this stretch.

We would like to say a massive thank you to Roper Toxicology Consulting Ltd for their ongoing support of Tree Time. With their donations, we have been able to plant many trees in Loanhead to mitigate climate change, provide a variety in habitat for species (for example: bats use avenues as important navigational landmarks and commuting corridors) and to be enjoyed by the local community.

It is fantastic to have local business support for Tree Time. If your organisation would like to help us plant more trees in your area, please see our corporate support page for ways you can support us. Tree planting is a great way to enhance the environment for wildlife and local communities, and you can choose where you would like trees planted (and potentially get involved in planting) within Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Clive Roper from Roper Toxicology Consulting Ltd helped us plant four new trees in Burghlee Park.
